In a heart-warming demonstration of community support, Mr. Rohit Agarwal, the CEO of Guideship Consultancy Services, recently visited Shishu Shiksha Niketan School in Alang. This school, nestled in the heart of Alang, stands as a beacon of hope for the children of ship recycling industry labourers and neighbouring villages.
Known for his unwavering commitment to international regulations like the Hong Kong International Convention (HKC), Mr. Rohit Agarwal felt a profound connection with the community during his visit to the school. In a touching act of compassion, he aimed to uplift the spirits of the students at Shishu Shiksha Niketan School.
Mr. Agarwal generously provided the school with 9 footballs, 3 pairs of goalkeeper gloves of the renowned NIVIA brand, 3 sets of computer keyboards and mouse, set of 7 Indian and World maps (both political and physical), an early learning educational chart set for kids containing 22 items in bilingual—each word in Hindi and English. Additionally, he gifted 88 books in Hindi, including moral stories, thought leader biographies, Indian scientist biographies, tales from Indian mythology, and books on Indian freedom fighters.
These gifts were presented on the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, aligning with Swami Vivekananda's emphasis on the importance of education, character-building, and the holistic development of youth.
Understanding the significance of balancing play and education in a child's life, Mr. Agarwal thoughtfully chose gifts that contribute to both aspects of a child's development. Expressing concern for the school's infrastructure, he pledged to replace another two computer keyboards and mouse at the earliest.
